1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use the GutterCrew website or ask us to arrange a quote from an approved service provider. By using our arrangement service, you agree to these terms.
They are separate from the quotation and terms supplied by the selected provider for the requested work itself.
2. What GutterCrew does
GutterCrew provides a free arrangement and introduction service. We use the information you give us to identify a suitable approved service provider and help put you in contact.
The contract for the requested work is directly between you and the selected provider. The provider—not GutterCrew—confirms the work, performs it, receives payment and is responsible for the standard of that work.
“Approved” means that a provider has completed our onboarding checks. It is not a promise that every provider or service will be suitable for every property or circumstance.
3. Who can request work
You must be at least 18 and either own the property or have the owner’s or occupier’s authority to arrange the work. These terms are primarily intended for domestic customers.
Commercial work may sometimes be arranged, but it will be subject to the provider’s separate written quotation and business terms.
4. Quotes and bookings
Website guide prices concern gutter cleaning. Other work is quoted separately after the property, access, surface or repair details have been reviewed.
Prices shown on the website are examples or promotional indications unless stated otherwise. They may depend on the property, gutter length and condition, access, height, location, exterior surface and any extra work required.
The selected provider will confirm the final scope and binding price, either from the information available or after inspecting the property. A booking for the requested work is formed only when you accept the provider’s quotation.
The provider may revise or withdraw a quotation if the property, access, height, condition, hazards or other circumstances differ materially from the information supplied.
5. Prices and payment
You pay the selected provider directly. GutterCrew does not take payment from you for the requested work and does not charge you a booking or cancellation fee.
The provider is responsible for invoices, receipts, refunds and any payment dispute relating to the work.
6. Your responsibilities
You must provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge and tell the provider about known access restrictions, fragile surfaces, concealed services, damaged guttering or other hazards.
You must provide safe and reasonable access at the agreed time, secure pets, move vehicles where reasonably requested and protect or identify vulnerable items around the working area.
7. Safety, insurance and guarantees
Providers may refuse or stop work where they reasonably believe conditions are unsafe or the requested work falls outside their capabilities or insurance.
Approved service providers are required to provide evidence of suitable public-liability insurance. Policies contain limits, conditions and exclusions. GutterCrew is not an insurer and does not guarantee that a particular incident or claim will be covered or accepted.
Any workmanship guarantee is offered by the provider and must be confirmed in its quotation or other written terms. GutterCrew does not provide a separate workmanship guarantee.
8. Changes and cancellations
Tell the provider as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an appointment. Any provider cancellation charge must have been made clear to you before the booking and must comply with applicable consumer law.
Where the provider’s contract is made online, by telephone or away from business premises, you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days. The provider is responsible for giving the required cancellation information. If you ask for work to begin during that period, the provider may ask you to make that request in writing and may charge a fair, proportionate amount for work completed before a valid cancellation.
GutterCrew does not charge you a booking or cancellation fee.
9. Problems, complaints and damage
Raise concerns about the requested work, cleaning, workmanship, damage, price, payment, refund or guarantee directly with the provider as soon as reasonably possible. The provider is responsible for investigating and responding.
GutterCrew may help pass messages between you and the provider, but we do not inspect the work, decide fault, settle claims or act as an insurer. You should keep relevant photographs, messages, quotations and receipts.
10. GutterCrew’s responsibility
We will use reasonable care and skill when providing our arrangement service. Except where a loss is directly caused by our failure to do so, GutterCrew is not responsible for the provider’s acts or omissions, the performance of the requested-work contract or disputes between you and the provider.
We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you used our arrangement service, or for business losses suffered by a domestic customer.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, your statutory rights, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
11. Website use
We try to keep website information accurate and available, but content may change and uninterrupted access is not guaranteed. You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access or copy its content except where the law permits.
GutterCrew owns or licenses the website’s branding, design and content.
12. Personal information
We use personal information as described in our Privacy and cookies notice, including sharing the information needed for your quote with the selected provider.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when our service or the law changes. The version shown when you request an arrangement will apply to that request. Changes do not remove rights you already have.
14. General
If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you retain any right to bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable law.
Questions about these terms can be sent through our contact page.
